MODULAR FURNITURE MANAGEMENT PROJECT --- BAKER HUGHES INC (BHI) COUNTRY OFFICE

Picture

T4 coordinated the delivery and installation of the new modular office furniture for the Baker Hughes country office in Kampala, Uganda. Uganda is among BHI's newest oil production plays. Working in cooperation with Total Oil and other international oil exploration companies, Baker Hughes turned to T4's furniture supplier, Canada-based Teknion Office furniture systems to quickly produce the BHI office furniture package. With a standards contract in place for many years, Teknion was able to produce the furniture to BHI's performance standards in record time and with T4's assistance, get the product into ocean containers, onto ships and one the ocean. The furniture landed at the port of Mombasa, Kenya where T4 arranged for its clearance and forward movement to Kampala. With T4's team on site to receive the ocean containers at the new Course View Towers complex, home to Uganda's budding new oil industry, T4's laborers worked 16 hours straight into the night to off load the containers and secure the material into the office complex. Over the course of the next several days, T4 got the new offices outfitted even as the BHI staff continued to their work.
